I Just Bought Me A Wagon
#1
In a desperate bid to ensure I could attend track days, I bought a new Scooby.
Also due to the fact that buckets are not available on 4 doors yet, and in a bid to ensure the two famous fivedoors (NITO and PTMW) become 3 I went for the wagon.
The modding has already started as I also tried to keep Mr Lewis happy with some Gold P1 alloys. Car is Sonic Blue though so Gold should be allowed. Rear waist spoiler also added.
This is a start as more is planned.

If I went for an EVO it would have to be the VII in the end. Ralliart problems with shifting them put me off a bit. This motor should keep me going !! untill the new STI or EVO VII are officially available. Then I'll have one of them.
Tough choice in the end. Just fancied being a bit different. Not seen many people with 5 door MY01 WRX's. It was very close. I'm sure I'll miss the performance the EVO would of given.

I just changed my mind and ordered the limited edition MY01. By the time I'd added all the bits, and knowing how well limited editions (maybe P1 excepted) hold their value
I have voted with my wallet.
Maybe a MY02 STI Wagon though if they import them.

Welcome to the club
Don't forget DocJock in his very red PPP'd Wagon.
Now, with the money you've saved from not buying an EVO VII, get yourself down to Scoobysport & purchase a)Brembo/APs b)Leda c)SS Exhaust system & then give Nito a call for a rear strut-brace. Then let me have a ride/drive at the next track day
Had a ride in Pete C's new WRX @ Donno & it felt really planted & obviously the through zorst free'd up any Euro restriction & it was no slouch. The ride was excellent & it was a shame the TVR spun & stopped the session He also does 18" gold wheels...
Can't wait - let me know

Hi Chins,
Welcome to the Wagon Posse, I went to the launch for the new WRX range. I drove the Turbo saloon and a lhd turbo wagon and have to say that in many ways I preferred the wagon, it seems much more "chuckable" than the saloon and I have to say I had more fun with it than the 4dr although the rear isn't quite as planted as the 4 dr under very heavy braking, not sure if that's an advantage though .
The new WRX is very nice to drive and I'm sure it won't be long before you find some more oomph!

hey! what about the blackbeast? I know that he's not the most handsome, well kept, or modded wagon in the land, but he is an import, which must count for something
Oh, and having the channel tunnel hanging underneath makes him pretty unique!

Welcome to wagon ownership...
My DGM has been christened
"the Green Monster" although currently standard due to insurance costs, there is lots planned and the 5 door is a nice motor.
I plan to keep this for about 5 years and then buy a five year old MY01 so look after it, it might be your one I buy
LOL
Simon_Prickett : What you do is get some secondhand in gold telling the wife you will paint them silver... then fit them on just for the weekend to see what the handling is like and just never get around to painting them, you might be in the dog house for a couple of weeks... hold on a minute who wears the trousers!
In my house I wear the trousers, just my wife decides which pair of trousers!

Personally speaking my wife would wonder about my gender if I mentioned Gold wheels and she would wonder where that stud she married had gone? maybe a GAY mid-life crisis??
NO, sorry I STILL dont get this gold wheel thing - maybe I am more full of male hormones than the average Scoobie owner??
That will stir it all up again
