its there to use along with your normal visors to block sunlight from coming in between them /above the rearview

Agreed, I personally think they put the hinge on the wrong side. It should fold the same way as the Sun visors and it might actually block some light then!

About as much use as a pork pie at a Bar Mitzvah!
I keep meaning to screw a holder of some kind to it, to hold sunglasses.

Wish my UKK classic had one, the sun ALWAYS seems to be just in that very spot

I've mounted the holder for my French Telepeage transponder there, so it does block some of the light.

I'm seeing modern cars with that part of the windscreen screened with dots.

I had to get a new windscreen just before Christmas as a bolt flew off the road and cracked it... anyway, the new windscreen has the shading in that area and much more than the 'sun visor' covers so now it is doubly useless!

5t.

With the french telepeage, I have always wondered if they can use the data to do you for speeding. Average speed between to toll points?
Anyone know?

I think its up there with the "bright switch" as the 2 most pointless parts on a subaru.

Move to Manchester, you won't need the sun visors

Probably not even then, to be honest! Thanks for reminding me that I need to take more notice of the dates on these resurrected threads.
