i am probably getting a scooby wagon running a reliable 400 hp, just a wrx, this car is off a well known tuner in yorkshire, its got a vf38 and has been running 400hp for a few years now without any problems. he has refreshed the engine b4 i have it including mains,bigends and rings

my question what is this car worth in todays market, its a 98, silver and 120k

tough 1 to call witout seeing the full spec list , but note the wagons tend to be cheaper and big fud on here just sold a 2 dr type r for 6.5k (i think)runnin huge spec and the 2dr is a lot more desireable
would prob say without knowin spec about 4k - 5k max but then i could be way off

 

I'd question the info.... a VF28 will deliver around 300 bhp, a VF38 is a brand new JDM Legacy part. Neither of which produce 400 bhp unless it has two and around 3 litres capacity. 400 bhp would also maul the gearbox unless driven by your Nan.

dunx,i`m sure he said its got a vf38, i know its got a fmic, 550cc injectors and he is the main man for mapping in yorkshire (well imho)

he has run this car a while with this spec without any problems and he aint a blag artist either, he doesnt quote figures for fun either

i am picking it up tomorrow hopefully and ive got a good benchmark to test against it - used to have a tommi which was 350hp

back to the original question as long as it is worth 3k or more i`m happy

 

550's won't do 400bhp, if its also not got a ppg or 6 speed box, fully forged engine and seriously better brakes then I think they hit the wrong button when typing the bhp figure

If it's three years at 400 bhp on standard gearbox then it's shot, VF28 can't make 400 bhp without lots of nitrous.... PM me with this "guys" info, as I'm in Leeds too.

hmm the main mapper in yourkshire eh,who is this then.i know a man who mapps around yorkshire too and also has a wagon,but its not his cos hes running 500bhp.
