Maybe it was a Taxi, they are exempt from adhereing to any Highway code or driving regulations at all....

 

Just remembered many years ago I and a few mates were in Tunbridge Wells town centre. There resides a box junction.

One day we were getting money out of the bank machine when a woman drives into the middle of the box junction, gets out of her car, locks it and walks across the road to draw some money out of Nat West!!!!

Minutes pass and Tunbridge Wells turns into total gridlock. The police sadly arrived seconds after she had returned to her car and left.
