what he said. Especially for those. Good tyre too.

You do need to know somewhere that will fit them relatively cheaply though...

I got mine 452's from camskill for £57 a corner but had to pay £40 to get them fitted, most places wanted £60

yup, camskill is cheapest, and as said most "fitters will try to sting you fitting. dont ask them how much tell them you will give them £10 a corner fitted and balanced. better still try pulling one of the lads to one side and box him off.

Sounds blimmin cheap to me

There are cheaper alternatives however such as this for £40 a corner. Tread is a bit 452-esque but you'll be on a voyage of discovery concerning performance.

I bought those tyres from Mytyres.co.uk - £319 delivered IIRC - that was 2 years ago though.

I had these on my last WRX. You could not wear them out, but were lethal in the wet. Absolutely no grip.
Also did a few track days on them and were quite good when you got them hot.
Remember doing a full day with 2 drivers and came away with more rubber than at the start.

Side issue.....
Anyone know where i can get a Dunlop SP Sport 600 (245/40/r18 93W), either new or secondhand. Standard fit on 08 hatch STI.
Picked up a wood screw right on the edge of the tread.
Thinks they are only available in Japan
thanks

thats what people dont relise . yes the tyres may be cheaper online , but then you have to get them fitted !

i get people in my shop all the time saying , oh i can get them cheaper online , to which i say well 1. you have to prob take a day off to get them delivered . 2 you have to drive around looking for somewhere to fit em 3. any tyre shop will prob charge you £15 per tyre to fit and at the end of it the price i gave you is probably cheaper !

had a guy in an x 5 come in with his own tyres ( big *******) when i said it would be £70 to fit four he looked at me as if i was ripping him off

its an hour of my time ,my labour and my equiptment and supplies, thats what people dont understand .

found a place which gave me a decent price at 330 all in,i agree with everything u said there, and people are wanting 15 quid a tyre for fitting so even if i did buy them online and got them fitted it would have cost £350,and i was quoted £330 all in .i also understand why they charge £15 a tyre.

Probably not an issue now but I found Falken 452's to be rubbish in the snow on both our cars. Otherwise I have found them to grip well but they are not the longest lasting.

It does work out cheaper getting them off line if you know the right back street garage who will fit them for £10 a corner i saved over £50 even with fitting charge.

I know lots of tyres that are not too great in the snow, the width and profile don't help.

I've just called Demon Tweeks regarding these the FK452 and they have offered me £99 a corned fitted, balanced the lot.

Does that sound reasonable? I thought it was.
