over priced scooby
been to look at a scooby today it was advertised quite cheap with some attention required to engine. when i got there he wanted £1500 for a n reg wrx with a fu@?ed engine been driven about with no oil pump working
so i offered what i thought a shed on wheels is worth because thats all it really is and he was like ive got too much money in the car (it was from a trader) so i wished him good look tryin to sell a car with no engine for £1500 its not worth much more working. Only wanted it for something to mess with at weekend in garage.

It was advertised as an N Reg Impreza with a knackered engine, for £1500 - and you felt that it was worth travelling to see it ...... I presume that the price is close to what you would pay (or why did you travel to see it?) - puzzled?

I agree with si-thee, there is a difference between "needing some attention" and knackered. Have purchased some real bargains over the years that just needed some attention, including a misfiring Orion injection ghia at a grand under market value that just needed a £20 rubber hose, and an overheating Clio 16v at 2 grand under market value that just needed a head gasket. Turned out to be one of the most fun cars I have owned
