Default Info regarding Ninja Sports Cat

Heya,

I have a MY99 STI V5 and when I last took her for a service, I asked if they could check my cat. When they got back to me they said it will need replacing as its leaking.

So I'm interested in the Ninja Sports cat the 100 cell one. I believe there is a screw thread for the lambda sensor and that you have to cut the turbo heatshield to stop it rattling.

Could you guys give me any other advice on it and weather or not its a good buy.

Thanx

i have a Ninja sports Cat,no issues with it, MOT time was interesting, i asked the missus to drive the car to warm the CAT up,well, she didnt, but the MOT guy put it thru as a Non catted car for it to pass the emmisions, interesting when i got the result sheet back as the emmsions would No way of passed if he had put it thru as a cat`d car, compared to last yrs with the original cat to this yr with the Ninja the readings were more than triple !

but apart from that, its a good buy, good fitment and looks lurvly

Ok so sounds like a good buy then. Not really looked up how much a standard cat is going to cost.

But I just need to now one thing really. If my car is a import which it is MY99 V5 will it need a cat by law.

yes it needs a CAT by law at MOT time only really unless your very unlucky and the bobbies on beat pull you over and demand a VOSA check etc but highly highly unlikely
