Smile A Fantastic Garage In Midlands Area.

Well Having visited TLS Motorsport for issues with my wrx i must say this has to be the best set up i have ever visited.
The customer service was outstanding providing tea/coffee as required, also brought in chips for my lunch as i wait,The whole place as a set up was superb, the knowledge of the guys who work there was A1,there expertise in the wrx was mind boggling and the test drive they took me on after work complete was mind blowing,if you live in mids area this place is a must,oh by the way im going back when funds allow to boot my standard upto 330bhp.
Have any of you guys been to this place?

I've always found them expensive compared with others so have never bought from them, but have heard mixed responses from folks on here

TSL = Trent Saab Limited LOL

For the oldies on here the front man was "Trouser" and they had a 22B with barbed wire graphics down the side

For wallet lightening and even better service there is Roger Clark Motorsport

Dont hear much of TSL anymore - wonder what happened to that 22b.
Considered buying their demo car off them a fair while back.

Hello again all,
Im gobsmacked Knowbody appears to have a positive word about this garage(yes it is TSL,my mistake).
I started having issues over the xmas period with my 02 wrx, went to local garage who did work on my motor,£200 later i found myself with more probs than i went with,i then headed to a well spoke of garage on here with the hope of resolving my probs(dont like to name and shame garages sorry),£170 later and to me totally clueless i went in search of help from tsl, well within 5 mins they told me what was wrong, performed the work required and did extra work i requested while there, they were fantastic and will be the only place i take my beloved from now on.

I have had help from them, ripped off by them, but out of all of it, i cannot stand the arrogant pr1ck that owns it! He has actually tried to say he is better than some of the best UK tuners around. LOLOLOL.
that is why i wil not go back unless i have absolutely no choice.
And think of it this way, ask yourself this, why did 4 of his staff leave and set up Carnetix and Tracktive? well ONE of the reasons is the person i am on about here!

hi ya madass,
im sorry you have had bad experiances with this garage,i can only post comments with regards to my visit there which was first class,i found the guy you talk about very helpfull.
Like mentioned in my post above i went to a so called subaru specialist through recomendations on here and wouldnt make the journey ever again,so i guess we are all prone to the odd bad experiance.

Alan

If you go back and read the posts, there isn't a lot of slagging off regarding the work that they do.........it's just that they do charge a bit more than others pehaps.

I have no gripes about the quality of the work they did on my Bugeye quite some time ago, if you are happy with them then thats OK.

I have had work done by Olly and Matt Clark at Roger Clark Motorsport, the cost of which If I posted would lead to an avalance of replies saying I have been overcharged / ripped off.

You get what you pay for. I would sooner give more money to RCM than go back to TSL.
One of the main things i will never forgive em for (and this was NOT advice from the owner) was StopTech brakes when i wanted AP. I went with the advice and had nothing but trouble with them, costing me literally hundreds trying to put it right because that arrogant g1t (and i DO mean the owner here) refused to accept responsibility and blaming me for my very poor braking technique. Suffice to say i have literally had them removed and they are sat in my garage rusting now. The crappy red caliper coating had come off as well. Total sh1te they were for me.
So thats another reason, well £1400+ worth of reasons why i wont go back.
Have they done good for me? Yes they have. But for me, the bad far far outways the good. I never, ever get the service from any of them that i read about in magazines or on here. RCM is the only place that has given me anything like the service i want.
Like i said in an earlier post, what finished me off was this "expert" slagging off people that really are better than what he is. That just did me. LOL

BUT, if YOU are then you keep going. They have done good by a lot of people but i dont get the same service.

As always, this is just my opinion, mine only. You pays yer money and you makes yer choice!

oooooooooooooooh !

I remember the "Stoptech" brake thread

Quite a while ago, but did make me think when I look at AFP / ZEN / Lateral cars, one of which has / had Stoptech brakes...... how much "sponsership" goes on.

No sponsorship, stoptech are tight *** *****, believe me I tried. I put stoptech brake on our blue car that I purchased like any other trader, I gave them to a mate afterwards for helping with the new green car, they are still going strong thousands of miles and nearly two years on.

They seem well priced to me and its always the price they tell you not another few hundred pounds when you come to pay up.
Ive not heard of anyone getting ripped off by them either which cant be said for alot of places.

Another vote for Scoobyworld, after using main dealers for servicing i took my WRX to them for a 40k service last July. No problem at all, used better quality oil & brake fluid than the main dealer and were £70 cheaper.

Give Thwaites Developments in Warwick a try, Mark there knows his stuff and his rates are very reasonable. You also get a very warm welcome and a personal touch other dont really come close to.
