what turbo is it?
Hi all,
i have owned this https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...rx-bugeye.html for about a month now.
i am considering a bigger turbo but i was wondering;
a) if anyone knows what turbo is fitted as standard?
b) if i would need to do anything else to the car before i fitted a td05 20g for example?
thanks

I think a 20g would be far to much for standard wrx transmission, but you have a td04 as stock, anything any bigger than stock, ie td05 16g or vf35 would require larger intercooler and injectors also a full exhaust upgrade and a remap. best you look into it a bit further.

the car has been remapped by andy forrestt 270 bhp running 1.3bar
with high/low boost setting
eibach pro street coilovers
front strut brace
whiteline rear arb 24mm ajustable
whiteline rear alloy droplinks
sti 8 spoiler
scoobyworld mudflaps
piaa wipers & headlight bulbs
forge intercooler y pipe kit
boost gauge
revolution sportscat & system
uprated fuel pump
ngk no7 sparkplugs
k&n panel filter
so with this spec I would need sti or equivelant intercooler and larger injectors and a new remap?

Your money is probably better spent on upgrading the brakes, but if your insistant of wanting more power (though if you cant stop there is not point really ) then a td05 16g or a vf series turbo (30, 34 or 35).
Your gearbox, clutch and engine are still the weakest parts of the car, and the most costly to repair/replace.
