Default Down loading movies

Now i know it is highly illegal , but i am having an absolute nightmare. I must be the only person in the world that cant download a movie and burn it to disc. I have seen loads of threads on it , but cant find it now. i have a mac (intel ) and use utorrent. Every movie i down load is an avi or wmv file and i dont understand how to encode it transfer it or **** all. I now have 20 bits of software that all do different things but it still dont work. i have toast 10, ffmpeg, aiseesoft, you name it.

idiots guide to this would help......if i need software that has to be free too as i have no money , hence down loading films

I use Nero to convert AVI to DVD, just click on "make a DVD" then follow the steps.

If you really struggle all the time, just buy a cheap dvd player from asda/tesco and they now play avi files direct,so all you need to do is burn the avi to a dvd or even better attach an external hard disc with all the avi files on and just play them

easy

You could get yourself one of these Western Digital HD Media Streamers. About £80. Like the sound of one of those myself.

i am still struggling with this, the idea of the whole family huddled round the mac is not good, cant stream from my mac as i do not know how. I have down loaded avatar 4 times and each time i get asked to purchase a x 3 player which i am led to believe is malware.
cant understand why these cretins want to funk my mac up. well i have tried 2 more bits of software from that link and they dont work either. cant understnad why people use divx files and avis when it would seem they are impossible to decode

Don't take this the wrong way, but go to the cinema to watch Avatar, its worth the price of admission.

Where ever you are downloading films from, you are downloading fakes. Check the comments before you download anything & that way you will have some idea what you are downloading is the actual film. As you said, all of this is highly illegal & not to be condoned.

I am realising this now , they were dud down loads.i would also warn anyone downloading a avatar torrent that requires x player 3 to steer well clear of it, as it is malware apparently and it will also ask you for credit card details prior to paying with paypal......and it dont work either!!!!a right scam

i did see it at the cinema in 3d too, thought it was great. The wife works evenings and she wants to see it without taking time off work.....and she does not want to go on her own.
going to the cinema is a dear day out these days too and you dont know if it is any good until you have watched it.
I do not wish to start a dvd empire i just want to know how to do it. i am getting somewhere now.

all illegal i know but christ i would hate to be the only one that does not know how to do it
