Climatechange? Maybe, but in what direction?
"could be the aftermath of one of the worst winters in living memory."

Could this winter really give a boost for the 4x4 cars?

Wasn't it the 4x4 cars that caused it in the first place?

(that wasn't a serious statement)

Worst winter in which way? It is only measured in how it inconveniences us. Not the amount of snow on the ground, or how cold it gets. I didnt see all the other creatures on the island suffering as much as poor old us.
It snowed, it stayed snowy for a week, it thawed. Not that earth moving.

It's all *********.

The Polar Bear Population is Expanding.

The Ice Caps are not melting.

But the £ in yer pocket is

The price of Beer, Petrol,Food,Gas,Electric etc is going up.

Why??

Because we caused it

The Car Tax is going up to over £400.

Car Insurance too.

It's our fault.

The FRENCH you may not like them.

You have to admire them.

They would blockade the Ports, burn the Lambs!!!!

We are a bunch of cowards.

The Politicians/Media are feeding this Donkey Dirt about Climate Change (Thats what they are calling it this Winter in the Summer it goes back to Global Warming. A Bit like putting the Clocks forward Back).

It's all about Rodgering us for ££££££ & I don't know who i'm most "dissapointed" with.

The politicians or USS for letting them away with It.

Mind how you go.

The climate has been changing for millions of years so why should it change now ffs, there were no cars around at the time of other big climate changes ie: the ice age.Just another way to be screwed by the tax man.

Its still all down to the rain forests being decimated, those trees hold so much co2 its scary
If I were in power then id have everyone plant a new tree in the world to compensate (every month )

I have the answer for those of you who wish to contribute to the cause.
Our government are calling upon us to drive five miles less a week, which sounds perfectly reasonable.
I most often drive a Range Rover, actually a "green" alternative, as I recycled a used one, thus saving the environmental damage involved in making a new one.
In the recent snow, it proved very useful, and the local population made sure to give me a cheery wave as the snow from my tyres playfully splashed their shoes.
My idea is this.
You drive exactly as normal, carrying out your daily business. At the end of a year, you undertake NOT to drive on a 260 mile journey. This is the equivalent of five miles a week! Living in Devon, a 260 mile journey would take me to Gloucester and back. As I don't know anybody in Gloucester, I'd be much better off by not going there, thus saving a totally unnecessary trip.
We car enthusiasts could make a real difference if we all decided not to go on journeys which we didn't want to go on in the first place, and it would save us all having to walk the last five miles to get home.
