Default 22B wide body kits on 4 door classics - look great or gash?

What do you think?
Im sure on a two door they look good but not sure on a 4 door.
Do the wheels fill the arches properly too?

I will at somepoint in the future getting a full respay in Sonic Blue on my 4 door classic.
Not sure if the 22b kit would look daft?

Any one got pics?

think you are getting mixed opinions on this one, the main one being a 22b wide arch kit should remain on and for a 22b, although i do like it when they are fitted to a type r, just make sure if you do get one buy a decent kit and get it fitted at a good garage as when done properly they look spot on but done bad they look like a cheap and nasty halfords bolt on kit from rip-speed.

would like to see some 4 door pictures to see though

mark, sorry not knocking your guys work as you do cracking stuff but is it me or when the arch kit is fitted the wheels dont seem to fill the new arches, they almost look out of place.
can that be changed by a wider rim or a change of offset?

Could you not just fit spacers?

Hi,

Most of our pics are of customers cars, so we dont see the finished article, with lower offset wheels or spacers fitted

I think it depends on how it is finished off, mine got plenty of looks, but it was painted white with stock bumpers, so most people never even realised it was wider, unless you looked properly

If it is painted the same colour as a thermonuclear *****, then it is going to look gash, no matter what

There is no question that a 2door kit can look good on a type R.
After looking at the HT galleries. The 4 door kit looks loads better than I thought it would. However I have to agree - with stevie1982 none of the wheels seem to fill the arches properly. How do they do it with the 22b wheel spacers??

Anyone got any pics of wheels filling the arches properly with one of these kits on?
Micky?

cheers mate that looks a good build you have there and i only skimmed over it as i need to sit down and go over it when i have more time.

do you have any still shots of the car complete? that you would like to share.

just thinking of what to do with my sti 5, i bought it tail end of last year and was thinking about stripping it popping in a cage and a bit of body work to make it stand out as i hope to take it off the road and use it as a track car so was looking at possible options.

cheers

Thanks for the replies fellas

That red one is a perfect example of a before and after when it comes to wheels.

Does anyone know what the spec of the rim was that was fitted so they filled the arches?
If I stuck with my existing 17in wheels - what spacers would I need to get them to fill the arches?

Have some pics of it sat somewhere, will dig em out.

The car had Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's on before and the wings required 10mm spacers so the wheels filled out the arches more.
