She Won't Start :(
After only 24 hours of ownership I went to start my immaculate 2000 Impreza (Prodrive Pack) after work and nothing happens.
I've never owned one of these cars before but i'm pretty fluent on car mechanics but electronics is not my thing.
It has some kind of Toad alarm/immobiliser which means you have to hold your finger on the key fob button until a red light on the steering column switches to green - you can then fire it up. However now when i tried to start it there was no light on at all on the steering column and the car won't start
Only the side lights and hazards work - everything else is dead :s
Seems like it has immobilised itself as the battery is 100% fine (as switched it over with a new one just to make sure and still no luck).
Any ideas.. shall i just remove everything to do with the alarm and immobiliser as i've always hated the things??
Any help much appreciated.

possibly worth tracing the alarm imobilisor wires and re joining the circuit they have cut and then get the alarm looked at when you have time / money, i would think that if you get a new one fitted they may remove the old one inc in the fitting

Thanks for the replies. I managed to trace the problem back to a dodgey connection under the relay box (in the engine bay).
Also wtf is up with these awful battery clamps! Worst design ever!!
