Tesco 99 is crap for MPG. I get about 30 miles more out of a tank of V power

I have a shell station at kirkburn. And a tesco in my orrible town. When tesco ran out of super I used vpower.

And to be honest I didn't really notice any difference to MPG. Now lets cause a debate.

For a STI V5 MY99 no mods except exhaust, no remap. Which is better fuel for me car.

Fuel consumption in cold weather is always going to go down. Colder air, means more fuel added to the mix - means quicker Impreza

I'm getting around 270miles to a tank of Tesco 99 at the moment, so by the time the warmer weather comes round I'm hoping that will be closer to 300 mark.

that is a tad excessive 50 miles to £20 ,i used to get double that in my03 wrx but depends on what mods you are running .
but a remap will give you better mpg

and once in my03 wrx i got 400 miles on the motorway in one go hull to newquay

I get about 80 miles to half a tank on tesco 99 in my P1 even in this weather. I had mine mapped on it and have never been able to justify the extra cost of V power after trying it (Ran my 03 sti on nothing else but V power for years).

I have been using tesco 99 for a couple of years now,and occasionally used vpower ,not really noticed any difference, but the price of vpower is not much dearer than tesco's recently so have been using the v power more regularly now and seems to be a bit better mpg .

I just use my calculator and trip map on any of my old Scoobs or current tin can

Divide miles driven between fill ups by litres used (not price) and times by gallons (4.546).

I'm currently getting 24-26mpg in the Pugrot due to cool weather. But when she's warm.... ohhh babay

People that own Subaru's don't use MPG, it's FPG..... "Fun Per Gallon" and typically the lower the number - the more fun's been had.

Anyone that buy's a Subaru for efficiency or bleats about high running costs needs kneecapping, IMHO that is.

Sorry i used to do it a little different, but your way says 19.32 on mpg my way says 19.17 Iphone says 19.33

I did it same as below

liters * gallons so 1.09*4.5461= 4.955
miles 236 divide price to fill up £61= 3.868* 4.955 for gallons=19.17

So i'll stick wi iphone as i no how much mpg i'm doing plus, last fill ups, this month, last 3 month, last six months, and this yr, and tells me mpg, cost per mile, total cost and total miles. So yes you may agree abit boring and to much information, but i no on the 2 Aug 2009 my car was doing 24.11 mpg and cost £0.20 per mile, now it's doing 19.33 at a cost of £0.26 per mile.
Need new pistons on mi calipers, sticking a tinny bit.

it was just a rough estimate to see if mine is running the same/roughly as everyone elses ???? if i want more mpg i will go out in my van 1.8 diesel o-60 half hour

on a level i just done a previous post about pops and bangs and few people said she could be running rich as well like they did on this thread.

i can do 150miles to 20£ and thats being conservative i can probs do more.

my car is a standard classic turbo 2k, panel filter and cat back.

i find if i use use vpower my car runs smoother and i get about 20 more miles its better for ur car to tbh so its probs worth it.

I get 330 miles to a full tank. But then 20£ of blower weighs less than 70£ worth of vpower. So I'm blaming the weight.

130 miles to £30 of Tesco 99, that was when Tesco was relatively cheap a few months back!
