Default Greased Lightning & micro fibre cloths

Saw this on ideal channel last night.

Anyone used this and what do they think?

Looks good stuff but got reservation about spraying it on car before the car has had grit and dirt washed off.

Does it really leave a good coat of wax to protect from stone chips?
How often does it have to be put on? does it wash off or its appearance deteriorate?

Do other products need to be used with it to improve paintwork marks and swirls?

I presume its a no water washing system?

'Most' are cleaners with loads of fillers to hide all the scratches they create.
There is one called 'ONR' you wont find it in your local Halfords but it has got rave reviews.

IMHO, you cant beat a proper soapy washing technique, even better if you can pre foam some dirt off.

I agree with DOC+

I bought some of this a few years back ,

i wasn't impressed with the results, kept the clothes and gave the other "Stuff" to an ex mate

IMHO

We have found the waterless stuff ok and convenient for a quick sparkle when doing concours stuff but as said above hand wash sooo much better.

As above. You cant beat good old car shampooooo and water, a chamois and a good polish. I like to use Supagard As it doesn't cut the paint work.

I use this for a quick wax topup during the winter months... I make sure I was the car properly using water & Autoglym stuff before using the show & shine as a wax protectant... its so easy to put on and take off that I use it every week in the winter to help protect against salt and muck..

as a wash - dont use it... as a winter wax protectant... good stuff
