Default ssqv question ???

ive got a classic vr2 wrx import with a ssqv i no this mite be a stupid question but

i want it 2 sound like the 1 in the video and yes before any1 comments bout its a newage sti i no. dose that sound differnt to mine because it has more boost or the way its set up any help and info would be great as im not to clued up on this sort of thing yet thanks

what colour insert do you have in yours mate? is it deffinatly a genuine hks one? I have the purple insert in mine on my v3 type r and it sounds the same as the one in the vid.

Silver/Gold insert= High pitch churp
Purlpe insert= Low pitch

yea its defo hks and has purple insert have taken it off today and given it a gd clean 2 c if that helps but dosnt sound anything like the 1 in the vid if its down to the amount of boost can i saftly turn the boost up a few psi or do i risk blowing sumthing (td05 z4 ecu 260bhp)

personly mate i wouldnt go turning the boost up. What boost are you running now?

ffair play boost stays as it is and im not 2 sure just standard boost i belive

n braveheart do u mean the 12mm bolt at the other end (i belive its all the way out ruffely a 1cm from bov to end of nut

yeh , twist it out will release more air at lower load eg it will go off at 3-4k adjust tighter and it is less likely to go off until more load is used also the sound differs slightly it may be turned out too much ?

varies with different setups it just releases air at different times or earlier / later in the rev range only when the throttle is released , u would need to adjust it to see if it makes a difference
