Default Is it, natural for the C.DIFF?

Ok Not long had my '06 UK STI PPP. I had previously owned a STI5 Type R.( Maybes some will remember?).

Anyways In order to bring back a more RWD type feel I switch the C.DIFF switch to manual and bring the adjuster wheel back to open the Diff. So far so good.

However when I park up, then return to car. The indicator shows "Auto".

Do I have to keep flicking the "Manual" switch to return to "My settings".

My Type R was always on Open Diff with no probs AFAIR.

These newer cars appear to be such Wooly Beasts...LOL.

P.S.Been driving RWD(RealFeel cars) for the past few years

I have an 06 Hawkeye STI and yes, as soon as the ignition is off and then on, it returns to auto

And so. Do I have to keep flicking the Manual switch, at each start up?

The car did seem as if it was on Auto/as indicated when I hadn't flicked it....Em

Yep - returns to auto every time the ignition is switched off.

Thanks Ali.

Was wondering "If it was me".

Set off C. DIFF. Manual. Happy. Park up. Go back to car. Start up take same bends and No feel.

That'll be the "Auto" setting I guess.

F...in' progress......
