4 got their chips
Remember this?
Four nice young boys forgot to ask the owner of a tidy Scooby if they could borrow it to go and get some chips.
They got a little flustered when they spotted a plod wagon and, very sadly, drove the car into the chippy . . . . where everything blew up and they died screaming loudly in the wreckage as the plods felt it was a tad too warm to try and help them out.
Anyway, the inquest has started, though quite why they're bothering with 4 little scum bags who got their just desserts [even if they missed out on their chips] is beyond me.
Car Thieves 0 - Chip Shop 4. A good away result in my book.

Waste of life, not really just desserts no one deserves to burn to death for pinching cars.
If the law was more strict on joy riding then maybe stuff like this would be less heard of, in places like Japan petty theft isnt heard of! Wonder what theyre punishments must be?

I'm inclined to agree, eye for an eye and all the rest of that jazz, this country's justice system is a joke. When will people start taking responsibility for their own actions. Re: the earlier posting, it's not about death because they stole. It's about them stealing a car they're not used to and driving like a ********. If they'd ploughed into another car and killed the occupants, I wonder if it would generate the same responses. Anyway rant over.. personally I'd be happier to see Karma inflicted on criminals, but then again I am an atheist

They got burned to death because they drove like a pr!ck whilst endangering everyone else, through a chipshop window and being stupid.
What would your reply had been if they had killed your kids, or your mother at the same time? On that day those people in the car were responsible for their own actions and what happened just happened. Tuff sh!te on them.

Chill out! Think you've obviously miss understood my post
Just saying no one deserves to die for "pinching" a car, thats my reaction to the original post "4 little scum bags who got their just desserts".
Maybe i should have worded ever so slightly different but i still maintain my point.
You cant say what if "your kids" "Your mum". What IF one of those kids was one of yours and they got into the car because of peer pressure? You could "what if" all day still doesnt change the fact its a waste of life.
I dont agree with what they did, just dissagreed with the "just desserts" part. The rest of my post which you didnt take much notice of clearly states that, i dont agree with joy riding. But its something you can only nip in the bud, and that just isnt happening right now in the law. But thats another topic all together.

Perhaps the end result was a bit harsh for 'Just' stealing a car and couldn't reasonably be called a justifiable punishment, but I won't lose any sleep over it.
There's no one to blame but themselves. If they hadn't been there they would probably still be alive today.
As already said, if the chippy had been full of customers when this happened, what would the bleeding hearts be saying?
I'm sure the inquest will be pointing fingers at the pursuing police and asking if they were in some way to blame
Isn't that what we pay them for, to catch criminals?

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
Kinnel,
next you'll be blaming the owner of the car for filling the tank with V-Power, and not bolting it down inside a bunker.
Justice should be harsh and a deterent, not a social worker's paradise.

True, but I can't help think that the fact that these mothers knew about what their son's were doing makes them just as bad! If they would have stepped in earlier then perhaps they would still be alive? If my child did that, i'd grass them up myself!

Thankfully both mine turned out good, tho one of them gave us a few "moments"

Justice
It's a pitty the chippy was not full of social worker's maybe the laws of the land would change to help the victim's of crime and not the criminals. Justice should be harsh and a deterent.

Its about time some justice came upon these idiots. They have obviousley been doing it before as there mothers told them not to nick cars.
If they had ploughed into a car full of school children and killed them all, and the thieves lived they would get all the support, be let out of prison early while a load of innocent kids are killed. I mean things like this has happened. Scum nick cars and do crime as they know they can get away with it.
When my old honda was vandalised badly the copper just said "I think my best bet would be to sell it and get a bog standard car".
The law is on the side of the criminals and the victims always loose out. They gambled and they lost. The gas company should be sueing the family for the damage done to the gas pipes.

Well if you read the news item one of them was begged not to steal by the family after bragging about it and wanting to steal the "Buzzin" Subaru - It was a sad waste of life but if they didn't take it. then this this would not have happened, no-one would have lost what they did - life, Shop/livliehood, car - they should have kept their hands to themselves - lets hope it's a lesson learned for others thinking of the same thing.

At the end of the day they got what they deserved.
I feel for the chipshop owner and the pwner of the scooby.
Car theives should get the book thrown at them, so much so each car they nick they loose a finger or hand. Might make them think twice when the have a stump at the end of there arm.
The justice syetem in this country is a joke.

"I spoke to Craig. He told me they had stolen a Subaru motor car.
"I replied to him, saying: 'Keep out of the cars, you will get yourselves killed.'
"He bragged about what he was doing and said he had seen a 'buzzing' Subaru, which he was going to steal.
Sounds like the mothers need to be charged with not informing the Police of a pending crimeand then a crime that has been committed.
Maybe that will deter these family's to accept their kids crimes as "everyday occurances" and acceptable..or "someone elses problem"
It sounds like these oyks were on the road to bigger and better things... criminal wize... and even though death wasn't the ideal outcome, at least they can no longer be a threat to society.

Grieving family's warning to joyriders after fireball deaths (From Bradford Telegraph and Argus)
Good picture of the fry-up!
And given the loss of life in the accident, I couldn't help but laugh at the name of the chippy too! Very apt!
