A Piller Gauge Pod in 2008 STI
I've been waiting patiently for someone to develop a half attractive guage pod for the Hatch... to no avail
I was temped to install a A piller pod but the SRS airbag label has always put me off.
But today I found this thread
09 WRX DYI A-Pillar Gauge Pod - NASIOC
U-Tube of bag deployment

It seams the airbag deploys only from the top quater of the A piller, between the window and the trailing edge of the panel, the curtain mostly comes from the top of the door anyway. (see pics halfway through thread)
Also the panel is secured firmly by a 10mm bolt, not clipped on, so the panel is not designed to "pop off" to aid the airbag deployment in an accident.
Do you agree it could be done? I'd only have 2 guages, and as low down as I could fit them.
Does anyone know of a nice pod that'll look good?
