Mat
There are a few - but a lot of RS'ers as well. Must be to do with straight flat roads They hold an all comers meet in Scoles on 2nd Tues each month. Find a post from Mike Rainbird & send him a mail. Me - I'm in the next county...

Yeah I second the scole meet.
Its second tuesday of every month, people seem to make it there about 7.30-8ish.
Worth coming along. Keep an eye on Events Southern, if we are going, there will be a post in there.
I am also going to try and sort a regularish Saturday meet at a place near the Haughley bends (spelling!?)

the 5 years up to 2000 I lived in norwich. golden triangle, then wood street opposite the hospital.
Norfolk is possibly the most boring place to drive round I have ever encountered. straight road...... 30 degree bend.... straight road... 90 degree bend.... straight road.... etc the straight bits are always a minimum of 1 mile.
I was happy with my saab 900 turbo until I moved to surrey.

I know surrey quite well.At what time in the morning do you have to drive to get clear roads then? Cos Nw of Norwich (yes Norwich and east of it are driving sh.t pitts)driving is bliss!

this argument could last a while, eh and it's off thread too Suffice it to say, I obviously didn't drive on the best roads in Norfolk!
Surrey's got lots of nice clear(ish) roads, especially when you leave for work before 7

There's nowt wrong with Norfolk's roads- like anywhere else, you've just got to know where to look.
Mid-Norfolk's roads are great- not many hills I grant you- but lots of nice corners. Also very, very quiet most of the time with little plod activity (somehow Scoobys seem to attract them though ). Mind you the 10mph tractor mobile chicanes can be annoying!!
Mat- I'm near Dereham- look out for a Dark Blue MY99, there's not many of us about!!
Haughley Bends eh?- Scooby group shot at the bloody speed cameras anyone?

Rebecca, the haughley bends is on the A14, between stowmarket turn-off and the ixworth turn-off (between Bury and Ipswich), I have to go through them every day, and it never ceases to amaze me, the amont of people that tail-gate, and then overtake me when im doing 50-55mph (the bends are an accident black-spot and so, are limited to 50MPH).
Personally, I cant see why they are regarded as so dangerous, as if everyone took care, there would never be a problem (but then again there arent many people that do take care)!

Group photo would be great. However at haughley bends we might all get taken out by a fourteen wheeler hangin' of his rims doin' it at 5mph! Any news on the suffolk meet yet as nothing is posted under 'southern' yet?
By the way I'm glad I'm not the only one in the area online and mad about great times I have with my Scoobie!
LOL

Hello Scooby peeps,
If you want to meet up with like minded petrol-headed people, why not pop along to the Norfolk RSOC meeting at the Parson Woodforde pub in Weston Longville (just outside Norwich on the Fakenham road). As you know our group has strong affiliations with the Scoobies (SIDC and 22b.com) and we arranged the East Anglian meeting of RS's and Scoob's at Scole. We will be at the pub from 7.00pm onwards on 27th Feb (always the last Tuesday of the month in Norfolk and the second Tuesday in Suffolk).
If you need directions, check out

Pleased to meet some Norwich Boys I'll be happy to join you for a meet with the RSOC boys in Weston Longville. My mistress is a MY99 5 door (Silver)with a SIDC tax disk holder. You should get out with the Sporting Car club of Norfolk also. 12 car road rallies in a scooby are wonderful especially on our lanes You wouldn't happen to be a green 4 door living in the Golden triangle would you? I think I've also seen your good self, Darren. Do you go through Hingham much. Personally I love the roads around here, only at night though when all the tractors are in bed.
Cheers

Well, where were all the Norfolk Scooby girls? After an open invite, the grand total of.......one turned up. And that was Mat (as promised). Come on, we don't bite - Mat has told me that most Scooby owners seem to be shy and retiring, whereas having met Puff, Harj, Stef, Sticky Pete, Pete C et al, I somehow find that VERY hard to believe...
Oh well, perhaps next time then (what are you frightened of)?
LOL

There is a meet tonight at the Kings Head in Bawburgh. Just off the southern bypass outside of Norwich. First Tuesday of every month, normally get between 15-20 cars there.
I would be there normally but football got the better of me tonight and I saw enough scoobs at the tunnel run on saturday
