battery drain
following on from previous posts.... ive just checked all the fuses in the engine bay fuse box to try and find out which circuit is draining the battery (if any)..
the meter was reading 0.09A which im told would drain the battery..anyway, i managed to find a fuse that when it was pulled out the meter droped to 0.01-0.02A so im guessing this is the circuit thats draing the battery.. the fuse is number 12 which is the clock/interior light..it also seems that my alarm is connected to the same circuit because when i remove the fuse my alarm beeps and beeps again when i put it back in.
so am i right in thinking its something to do with the alarm thats draining the battery seen as its on the same circuit...the alarm light that flashes is next to the clock could this have anything to do with it.
sorry for the long post

It could be a sticking relay, although not necessarily in the alarm itself. The easiest way to check would be to try listening for a click when you arm or disarm the alarm, but you'd want to remove the central-locking fuse first or you'd have no chance of hearing it over the door locks.
Thinking about the maths a minute though, 0.09 amps would mean the car is draining a fraction over 2amps per day, so it should still start easily enough even after sitting idle for 2 or 3 weeks (60 amp/hr minus 30 or 45 leaves 30 or 15 amp/hr, either way safely more than a fully charged Odyssey). If you're often going to leave the car parked up and undriven that long, the best thing might just be to fit a solar trickle charger on the parcel shelf. Even a basic 1.5 watt model of the type sold in Maplin or E-bay would make a pretty big difference - assuming seven hours of good daylight in every 24, in theory you'd only have half the current drain you've got now, which should buy you a good two weeks extra of working battery.

thanks for the info...the solar charge sounds a good idea.. as for the alarm i do hear a click after dissarming, round about 20 seconds or so...im guessing its the time relay for starting the car on the immob system

Could be the back up battery in your alarm or tracker is no longer holding charge, so the back up battery is constantly recharging its self off the main battery.
these batterys only have about a 4 year life span, you can remove them and find a replacment off ebay for under a tenner, thats what i done.
