Ok, Saturday night my Dad had a serious car accident in his Audi-Not very long after he had his previous one totalled on the M25 a few months ago!! ![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif)
He was returning home from London (4.00am) from a night on the town-T-Total sober and two men were walking in the centre of the road as he came over the brow of a hill!
He swerved to avoid them (my father is advanced driving qualified and a serious petrol head) and he lost the car on some Ice/Diesel/Foreign body and stacked into a wall and into someones front Garden/Patio door in Ascot. The two men never came to see if he was alright, then simply took off!
The Police were fuming!
My dad survived (although the Police were shocked he did) and the car was absolutely wrecked. A pillars collapsed, side air bag gone off (that shredded his suit jacket). The whole side of the car was damaged as was the two front wheels and the suspension. The whole of the drivers side was pushed in and the a-pillar was touching the speedo housing on the dashboard, the rear windsreen smashed as was the rear windows. The rear quarter panel was pushed into the boot so badly that the items in the boot were wedged in!
Now, he was badly shaken up, some cracked ribs, concussion and a cut ear and swollen arm etc etc but ok.....
He gets a message from his p.a today to say-"Fleet services (at Ericsson) say that there is no problems and the car will be returned by next Monday!". My Dad thinks that they are having a laugh-I am not so sure....Maybe it is possible?![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif)
Can anyone help? Anyone got any idea how they tell if it is a right off or not?
The recovery guys could not believe how bad it was!!!
Thanks All
Ronnie

I think its Ericsson taking the P155, your dad must be pretty high up to get an audi, most just end up driving those peugeot estates with ericsson down the side lol!!
I think the car is a write off, unless its brand new but when i had my pug run in to it took them 7 and a half weeks to repair, that was front and body damage!!! thing they will just hire him another one for the time being

Glad to hear your Dad walked away !!
Audi's must be pretty tough .. some woman in a Toyota Corrolla stacked into the back of my car before Xmas (1.8T Quattro Sport) .. (I was braking cos of some idiot with no indicators in front of me .. I stopped, she didn't
)
Anyway, I got out expecting the worst (quite large impact) and struggled to see the damage .. the bumper was pushed in ever so slightly and had one or two scuffs.
She looked as though she'd run into a bus, bonnet crumpled, off side wing about 1/2 the size it should be .. a good and proper mess![](http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif)
My car was all repaired on her insurance ..
Pretty tough .. but I doubt your dad should be getting his back !!
Doofus.

Ron,
Best thing to do is wait and see mate! I don't believe that Audis are THAT tough, although it clearly saved you Dads life. Glad to hear that he's still in one piece.
Cheers
