So i have been offered a wrx ra which looks exactly like my old v3 sti which i still have a soft spot for, would you swap a newage wrx blug cat c for a well looked after classic ra thats been modded tastefully? Opinions please pics to follow...
Thing is i want to get away from the cat c and a few nigglys on it are annoyin me at the moment.. I miss my old sti and this is not far off it.. Plus in the deal i am getting 421 manifold and turbo up pipe to put on...
i could be wrong here but looking at the depth of the tyres and the small gap between the arces and wheels, its gunna be a hard, bumpy ride.
I did mention this, its on eibachs but he assured me the ride wasnt that hard.. I test drove an evo 4 shortly before i got the blug and walked away because it was a bonecrusher ..

Yes wear and tear but it has less miles on than mine but we all know that imports could be dodgy mileage.. Its the fact mine was a cat c write off and this is hpi clear that leaning mw towards it.. Tried to sell my car now a few times at considerably less than what i paid for a couple of months ago and no one wants to know. Dont the ra's have short ratio gearbox etc this is what i miss..

o i see what u mean about it being a cat c. was the work done propperly?
i have had this b4 with a car i had. i knew that there was some bits not right and it bugged me so i got rid for what i thought was a good deal. now i regret doing it and made a big loss.
but as far as u know that car mite not be square, being an import and that. theres some good tips on the MRT Performace website about buying used classics and what to look for on imports.
Seen your car in Cammell Lairds, looks nice though I,d say go for the classic.
Good spot you work there aswel? Atleast theres one vote for the classic! ha
Im leaning towards it now if my car doesnt sell on ebay, auction ends in ten mins...

Yes I work at Lairds as a mechanical fitter. My car is the silver classic. I,ve had 4 classics over the last 9 years. I,m looking to get a nice Sti Version 6 Type R Ltd next.
