Default RadWeld or similar ok in a Classic?

I have a very small leak in my radiator which spurts out coolant but only when I am on Boost.

I wont be able to change the radiator for a few weeks, is this an option or a big no no?

I wouldn't. The radweld will get clogged through out your engine.
Not worth it imo.

If you have a leaking radiator, replace it. Radweld is not an appropriate solution unless you're prepared to accept it failing and your engine overheating. You can pick up a perfectly good pattern classic radiator on eBay for fifty quid. An overheated engine will cost you four figures, either in replacement/refitting costs or lost value should you cut your losses and sell.

It's your car, you can do what you want with it. You can either replace the rad now and drive it with confidence, not drive the car for a few weeks, or drive around for the next few weeks not knowing whether you're going to end up with a f*cked engine. Take your pick.

New Rad will be on by month end, and it'll be driven gently till then.

Its a TINY leak, i'm losing probably less than half a pint per week of coolant and its been getting plenty of stick, and as I mentioned, its only leaking on Boost, not on day to day driving, so I know it isnt likely its going to blow on me in a matter weeks, especially if i keep an eye on the coolant level.

I'd love to replace it now, but after being caught speeding at the beginning of the week and having a large fine to pay, I simply dont have 50 quid spare till then.

i once used radweld in my trans-am biggest F*CK UP ever!

ended up having to buy

new stat
new rad
new heater matrix

and almost killed my engine!

shortcuts or quick fixes aint worth the long term aggravation
