help!!!!: Iim new to subaru! problem after 2 days! ok so yesterday i put a new exhaust on it. i have no idea whether this caused the problem but after about 3 hours of driving it started studdering @ around 2500-3000 rpms. and had a bad idle. car would die at traffic lights if i didnt tap the accelerator. i had this problem on my last car occasionaly. but that car was highly modified and i really didnt expect a stock car to do the same thing. i havent ramped it or over reved it either. drove back to bristol trying to stay above 4k without boosting to prevent it. i was thinking bad injectors or turbo fail. its a jap import and has 123,000 km on it. how long to these turbo's last. the car had 3 cats on it when i bough it 2 before the 2 downpipes connected and another one after that. i removed the resonator and the cat and did a straight pipe. could this have affected the back pressure and possibly resuly in needing a tune? im new to subaru so it would be a real great favor to help me out!

My BG5 GTB had 125,000 miles on the clock on the original engine + turbo's.
It had a stainless decat exhaust from the Y piece back so it only had the 2 small cats in the downpipes - no problems running it like this.
Does sound like a MAF problem, my V3 STi had the same problem, misfire between 2500 and 3000 rpm and it wouldn't idle.
