Killed my Scooby
Well after not having an accident for 20 years, and having owned quite a few performance motors , wrote off my impreza last Tuesday . I had just dropped my daughter off from a musical she was appearing in and 60 seconds later passenger rear tyre blew out , sending me spinning into a parked golf, and both airbags going off I got out the car and my arms were burned from the airbags going off ,and my neck was a bit sore but was ok .
I then looked at my impreza and knew it was game over.the golf owner came out of his house and was more sympathetic to my car than his own .
I have contacted my insurance and things are moving forward, and I am already looking for another one in the same colour and with 1 - 2 owners hopefully. Will post some pics of the smash when I get chance, and hopefully won't be too long before i'am back in another impreza.

Glad you are ok and probably good fortune you had just dropped your dauhter off before this happened.
I try to check my tyres regularly, tread depth is and outer side are easy its the bits you cannot see and with all the potholes - the accumulative damage caused doesn't help.

Oh no, thats a right bummer but luckily you weren't doing your 70mph on the motorway as you could have been really seriously hurt. You can still add it too "you not having an accident in over 20 years" there is nothing you can do when that happens, your just a passenger and as the insurance company are more than happy with the situation it wasn't through lack of care with your tyres.
Fingers crossed you won't be without for too long though.
