lateral price on a built 2.5

Default lateral price on a built 2.5

advise needed is this a good price or will i keep searching


EJ257 2.5lt STi block pair 1 £ 945.00

Lateral/Wiseco custom Stroker 2.5lt piston kit, 1 £ 525.00

Lateral "H" section Stroker rods, ARP bolts 1 £ 475.00

EJ257 2.5lt crank 1 £ 445.00

Steel head gaskets, to suit piston kit CR (pair) 1 £ 110.00

ACL “Race series” main bearings, phase 2 set 1 £ 59.50

ACL “Race series” big end bearings (set) 1 £ 38.75


Short Engine parts £2598.25


Machining:

Hone block for pistons, with block “deck plates” 1 £ 180.00


Labour:

To clean short engine components, prep’ block pair, 1 £ 625.00
dummy build short engine with plasti gauge, inspect,
re-clean, and final assembly.



Built Short engine: £3403.25


VAT @ 17.5% £ 595.57



Invoice total: £3998.82

Its worth contacting David@API and Allan@ Enginetuner for a quote also.

Been about 1.5 years since i was in market for an engine etc but i think they both where cheaper

to be fair thats a good price for and brand new block and build like that and should be well caplebe of 450 +bhp

sorry for may be a daft question but wky have you duplicated all the prices, as if you double them all up it dont add up right, and why are you after a build.

Yes, it would be new at that price. Used 2.5 blocks are not Laterals thing.

Jamie,


I have just noticed an error in one of the prices. This relates to the cost of the honing. I have a template for the different engine parts/builds, and have put the cost to "bore & hone", whilst the price should have been to hone only !

Please deduct £117.50 from the total.


Also, please note that if comparing pricing, we use "stroker" parts based on our 2.1 & 2.35lt stroker engines.
