no not mad at all just i have tried a few newages one being a type 25 but have ended up back in classic albeit a very pokey one but my old p1 at 330/330 felt more hands on then any of the newages, felt as my current model more fun to drive, has a rawness to it that the newages dont. dont get me wrong i love the new looks of the blob and hawk and am even growing to the hatch, i like the feel of the interior more modern etc but they just lack that little extra which i dont know what to call it other than the rawness

If I wasn't concerned about a 'bargain', but just wanted the mintest car I could find, I would look at importing a fresh JDM V2 classic. Anything that has been in the UK for any length of time is ragged, ruined or rusting to a greater or lesser extent. You do get lucky, but classics in good condition are sort after so you are chasing cars at increasing value.

For what you could sell yours for, importing and making good for safe fun would see no £change at all.

As 53wrx, i have 2 imports, a 95 RA and a 98 s-tb forester. They are immaculate underneath, especially when you consider they are 15 and 12 years old.
How raw are you after? An RA is wicked fun, you can feel everything it's doing, but the gearing/noise isn't for everyone. An RB5 would need modding, as they're not the quickest of cars in standard tune. A nice Type R or P1 would be nice.

There are still a few nice examples going around that havent been chaved up to the eye ***** by the Max Power brigade yet but they are getting quite rare TBH, I've had a UK classic and a JDM one all I will say is if you do go classic go Jap the difference between the two is night and day, a nice Type R or Sti Type RA would be my choice, the fun factor of these two models is astounding.

If I still have a job next April......

A black Type-R is what I'm adding to my collection.

there is a totally standard green uk spec minter on here at 3k it looks like it has just rolled out of the showroom and even has all the original stickers under the bonnet eg on the battery rad cap i cant remember the user name of the guy on here with the car i,ll have a look for it if your interested? i know uk spec isnt the fastest but is cheaper to insure and is a very good base to start modding!

low mileage, just the whine from the power steering pump to mention.

trouble is im not sure of price, but i am not looking for much, very sad to see go but willing to let it go to a scoobynetter, for a good price

I know what your saying mate as i went from this bugeye wrx

Which i owned & moddifed over 2 years then for some dafft reason sold it to buy an Audi A4 had that 10wks sold it,

and bought a Hawkeye sti ppp,

Had it 8wks sold it and bought a Mk5 Golf GT TDI & a V5 sti type r.

But i must say ive only owned the Classic a few weeks now & i am really liking it a lot & once ive finished giving it a bit of TLC i think i'll be even happier.
