Default A bit of advice needed please

I am interested in buying a my00 uk turbo.
It has apparently been remapped by scoobyclinic using a sti ecu and running 280bhp.
It has been mapped to run on tesco 99 ron fuel, but would it be ok to run on lesser octane fuel aslong as octane booster was used?
Many thanks

Why not just run it on 99 or vpower?

I am planning on using 99 ron but sometimes the tesco in my area runs out and I either have to use lesser octane or drive 15 miles to the nearest place.
So I just wanted to know to be on the safe side, so if I had to chuck to cheaper stuff in would it be ok with sum booster in

Should be OK to run on 95 on the odd occasion, just don't abuse it if you are running it.

Thanks for the reply mate.
Yeah, I plan on using 99 ron from the local tesco but was just abit unsure wether it would be alright to run on 95-97 as a fail safe if running low.
In my old uk turbo which was standard I didnt really mind putting in 95 or 97 if the good stuff had run out, but obviously drove steady in it.

If its mapped for 99 then thats what you should run it on, 95 wont be good in it your options are map for 95 ron or 97 ron with octane booster when you cant get it, otherwise its tesco or shell vpower from now on

Thanks Tony
I always used tesco but I have the problem of only one petrol station supplying 99 ron in my area :-(
If I do get the car Im gonna have to cross my fingers they dont run out until I can get it re-mapped or cross my fingers even more if I have to use 97 for a very short period of time

If you dont have one then I would also invest in a KS3 knock analyser, will show you if your getting any det, alot cheaper than an engine
