alloy wheel help please, desperate now
right, im after some help please guys and girls, ive just done a gold brembo front cailper conversion on my94 sti wagon, and my wheels now dont fit, ive currently got ultralite atec 789's in 18 inch bronze, and although they cleared my previous tarox 10 pots, they wont clear the brembos.
ive been searching for a difinitive answer on what does and doesnt fit a classic with brembos and dont seem to be getting anywhere.
i was told by one supplier that rota boost fit, and a freind of mine tried one of his on my car yesterday, and they dont go on, they arnt far off, but they foul on the front face of the caliper.
so my question is, does anybody know for certain what wheels will fit over the calipers, in 17 inch preferably and without spacers, i dont want pff's or any other rip off that looks the same, but open to all other suggestions, and if anyone has any pictures, that would be great.
any help appreciated as cant get the car mapped until i have wheels that go on??

I have 17" Speedline Chrono's with offset 45 now fitted to my classic that has 4 pots on and had to use 7mm spacers to fit. Not 100% but reckon you may have to go for 18's to stand a chance in clearing the brembos. I have just asked in tech section for the offset clearence you need to clear brembos as a lad is interested in my wheels I have for sale.

It's not as comprehensive as it can be, the list definitely needs updating, but that should help.

thanks for that, but that list of nasioc is for newage sti's, mine is a 94 sti, so not 100% certain that that list is useable for my year of car, but thanks for the link anyway.
any further help.

if it helps, the rota boost is very very close to clearing the calipers, im trying to do away with the idea of using spacers, really dont like the idea, and wondered if i could get a different offset to bring it out that little bit extra, looking for approx 3mm if possible.

Go for some standard STi rims of a newage, but only pre 2005.
There is a set in the for sale section now.

just a thought but do the rota boost's fit over brembos on newage cars ie does the offset of the hub part of disks sit different as you say they nearly fit as far as 17" wheels go i think there is very little to choose from new age sti wheels upto 05 or 5x100 as already said

So you have tried with 3mm spacers
I ran a track car with 3mm spacers to go over the Porsche kit 6 pots and this was with 18 inch
I now have Rota GRA's on 48 offset and the spoke design is such that it gives 4mm over the 18 inch Speedline corse
On 17's on the large brembo's you'll be very restricted
If you dont go 18 then I suspect you'll need spacers - not ideal
Then again I think 17's look too small on a classic!

inovit redlines fit over brembos mate,
best bet it to go to members gallery and look at all the newage pics as most ppl with sti have upgraded there wheels ,gives u an idea of what will and what will not fit

guys, what width and offset of Rota gra will go over the brembos?
Just picked up a set of brembos sitting in the shed waiting to be fitted but I need to find wheels (and theres a guy on here selling some that I fancy but not sure they will fit

If 3mm spacers will clear the calipers then Id fit 3mm hubcentric (they must be hubcentric otherwise the weight of the car is borne by the studs!) spacers! The only real concern will be your geometry, which is what offset is really all about, but 3mm isnt a deal ad itll get you out of the corner that youre currently stuck in.
Ideally though, you want to keep the centre of a new, wider, rim, exactly where the centre of the original rim was. For example, if you started out with 7" ET45 wheels and you replace them with 8" wide wheels, then their offset should be 58mm (+ 1/2" / 12.7mm) to keep them where Subaru intended. As soon as you start using differing offsets to fill arches or fit within wheel wells youre onto a loser.
