I had my car to api on wednesday this week for a remap after running in of my new forged engine, after the mapping session they took my car out for a road test and returned with the news of a missfire, new plugs were fitted first which didnt cure the problem, next a set of second hand leads were fitted along with a new coil pack, neither of which helped, by this time it was past closing time and i had to leave.

David said to try a bleed valve as it might be spikeing and hitting the fuel cut, ive tried this today and im still feeling a faint missfire now and again but not to often, and im seeing 1.5 bar on the memory on my boost guage, (the boost was raised to 1.5 bar when remapped).

David has sent me a crank angle sensor to try but not being too mechanically minded i dont know why this could cause a missfire.

Can anyone give me any pointers on what i could try next, taking it back to api is not so easy as i live so far away.

The car is v6 sti type-r.
