hi all does anyone know what bhp you can get to before the ecu needs doin on a ukturbo200 i have a 98 with the crap ecu and dont really wanna change it but i want more power at the min i have 240bhp

full decat hayward and scott exhaust large k&n induction kit boost pipes replaced with samco bailey dump valve and air con removed iv also done the cluthc and flywheel and some other bits and bobs nothing that would add more power really i as thinkin about puttin on an sti top mount lighter pulleys and a boost controller but i really wanna know what other scooby owners have got out of the 98uk before havin to replace there ecu oh and the down pipe is a bell mouth and the back box is the vortex

you should realy have it mapped now, although im running 262bhp on the same car with fmic, apexi induction, walbro fuel pump and de-catted exhaust. but its a great risk so i dont drive it on boost while i get i mapped. im going for a apexi power fc

as others have said you need to get the car remapped which in your case means an aftermarket ecu apexi or simtec . i had the same problem owning a 98 car . i went for an apexi with 550 injectors , ramair induction kit, full decat, fmic and kept the td04that came fitted to the car as standard . then had paul blamire (zen performance) map it, end result was a car that was pulling 285bhp and 290ft/lbs torque
it drove like a differant car pulled a lot better ,smoother and i knew it was safe to give it a kicking from time to time .
