Default ball joint

I am removing my drivers side ball joint to change a cv joint when putting it back together does the castle nut for the ball joint have to be a certain tightness or can I just tighten it so its tight? I've heard something about it has to be a certain tightness but just want more advice on it thanks

19.9lb/ft is for the tie-rod end joint, not the main suspension ball-joint. Correct torque is 30NM on a 4-door, 40NM for non-turbos and wagons.
