vf28 turbo,are they any good

Default vf28 turbo,are they any good

is the vf28 turbo any good and do they come standard,i was looking over my car today and thought i would have a look and get some idea what has been done to it,,,,,,

VF 28 comes on the P1 and I think version 5/6 STI.
They are good for up to 330-340 bhp and a good alround turbo imo.

in my opinion they are pretty good as a replacement for td04 as they spool up as quick but dont run out of puff higher up the rev range, i believe they were standard fitment on the P1.

its a v5 sti i have so i take it thats what mine came with

Yeah its standard in the sti5. I had a VF34 on my uk classic an it seems slower to spool than the Vf28.
Was the VF34 meant for 2.5 litre imprezas??

the 2.5's have the vf43

ahaaaa might explain why nothing happens till about 3500rpms then wooooooooooosh im out of petrol!!
