Quick Question
If it were your choice...
.
.
.
.
Which Tyre would you put on from these 3?
.
.
.
I know I should be in Wheels, Nuts and Tyres .. but, need to make a choice for Friday fitting!
1. KUMHO KU31
2. VREDESTEIN CENTO
3. FALKEN FK452
I have had the Falkens on for about 8 years now, been great - but, the other options are in the very same price bracket - £75 a corner fitted.
Life/wear is my prime concern, I do not exploit the handling or road-holding ... or the full performance, for that matter.

Cheers, that's my first thought ..... just wondering if the others may be better ...... up until now nothing has come close to matching the Falkens for price/performance.
But the other two options throw in some choices at the very same price point. I bought a set of Vredestein Tyres for my Calibra in about 1994 .... I had never heard of them before - but, you know what? They refused to wear out!! Really, they lasted 5 years and still had tread left when I sold it! But that's not saying these Cento's will last like that!

From: If you're not braking or accelerating you're wasting time.
I have just fitted 4 new Falkens & they do the job ok but are fe**ing hard.
I even checked the tyre pressures when I first got them as I thought the fitters had put too much pressure in them!!

Falkens are hard .... that's a good sign for me, as that means hard rubber and less prone to wear out
I had some TOYO's on a car once ... soft as putty, but lasted no time .... never again! I have no desire to go around corners at 80MPH - but do desire my money to stay in my hands as long as possible!

I've had Falkens for the last 10 years and would vote for them, although I intend to try the vredstein sessantas next having heard lots of good reviews, although that will be a while given the miles that I do
Track days may change that though

Vredstein sessantas are what i have on my spec c, i have to say they give great grip and no hint of tramlining.

Based upon personal experience I would go for the Falken FK452's, I have had them on quite a few cars.
They have plenty of grip, are good in the wet and they wear well.
Plus I can get them a lot cheaper than £300 for a set of 4, as my brother's mate has his own tyre centre and I get them at cost with no fitting charge.
