Default Apexi vs Simtek

I knew it wouldnt take long to get bored

I bought an apexi power fc and commander from big fud on here, had it all set up by Andy Carr, and my car made 320 bhp, i found this ok for now but as always I want a bigger slice of the cake

Thinking to go Simtek now with antilag and launch control on my classic?

Just wanna know the pros and cons?

Get the cheque book out..................

If you leave everything else on your car alone, it's unlikely you'd get any more power from a Simtek.
The Simtek has a number of advantages over the Apexi, if you were starting from scratch and making a choice. It's available new. It comes with more features. It does away with the MAF sensor. It has charge temp monitoring and correction. It offers map switching on the move. It has a very good boost controller incorporated. It's currently undergoing improvements, including knock correction and closed loop idle control. Compared to other systems, it's inexpensive.
I'd say it would be a decent plan to incorporate one with other modifications, you can certainly sell on your Apexi with no bother.

Well, I'm sure he'd rather wait until it was properly ready.
It wasn't us who think it's that much of a deal anyway.
