£6k to spend..advice needed please
Hi peeps
My husband has £6k to spend on a car but he aint no jedi master on the subaru's..lol
He is insistant he wants a blobeye (I told him that term ) and with what we have seen for sale looks like he could get a nice wrx if he waits for the right car.
I appreciate many will say go for the sti but got to watch the pennies.
But as always any info given by the great users of this site will be muchly appreciated.
Thanks Helen

You wont get an sti for that sort of cash, but something like this http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1631602.htm is in your price band

Buy once cause in a few months time he will be lie I wish I got the sti lol
the sti is tougher than a wrx and sportier and if driven sensibly will give u good mpg save a bit more and buy an sti. To make the wrx as quick as an sti you will need to spend money

Just do bare in mind that although you may be able to get a scooby for not much money, they are not cheap cars to own and run and if you neglect them, they will hurt you financially, badly!

BMW do nothing for me at all. Im sure I can get hold a well looked after low mileage WRX if I wait long enough and it will suit my needs as I have no plans to do anything with it upgrade wise, just want a clean, straight, reliable car

Your should be able to find a nice WRX PPP for sub 7K, preferably one that's been well looked after, I'd rather own that than an Sti that's been ragged to death. Keep an open mind on it and buy on condition.
Nothing wrong with the Sti, just don't listen to everyone who says it should be your only choice.

its a buyers market at the moment, lot of cars are overpriced, look at stis even if above your budget, you dont need to offer what they are asking. The offer of 6k cash will be tempting for many to part
