Default Next modification. What do I need?

Ok. I have an 04 plate wrx sti type uk in Black with gold wheels.
I want to keep improving the car in both looks and performance.
So far i have tinted the rear windows to Limo black.
Fitted a hand made exhaust from the front right through. Removing both cats.
Fitted a Bailey dump valve.
Fitted sti black mud flaps
Fitted WRC rear spoiler
Fitted roof scoop.
Put standard mirrors back on.
Fitted new toyo tyres
Clifford alarm fitted.

Other than the above the car is standard

I am looking at getting more power out of the car without spending a fortune. Maybe an induction kit or a pigy back chip for the air filter??

Looks wise i am thinking a rear roof spoiler or roof rear vortex strip.

What do you lot recommend. Will try and get a photo up tomoz.

Cheers

Rob

dont waste ure money on an induction kit, get a panel filter, green stuff etc and fit it to the airbox, unless ure goin above 380-400 as thats what the airbox is gd for, also fitting an induction kit will require a remap anyway

have u fitted whiteline arbs etc to improve handling, a remap will help release more power but if u have removed the standard downpipe without a remap i would get it done asap ,

speak to the mappers on here to help u with the correct route to go down,

removed both cats! you should definately remap then, you will save a fortune in the long run. i would of recommended whiteline adj. arbs, anti lift kit and braided hoses otherwise.

To be honest i can't believe how well she handles. I have had other quick cars and ride big bikes, but this baby can handle her self pretty dam well. Its really more power i am after and better looks. Oh yes it has a k&N filter fitted already, but inside the normal box.
She does seam to be very thirsty though, about 15mp and i do about 150 mi,les a day, so not too good!
Would a remap have a mega difference do you think on both fuel consumption and power??

What about the looks too??? Any ideas/pics of ideas??

subaru made a good base but alot of the suspnsion parts are cheap materials to keep cost down so droplinks good idea. anti roll bar thickend up and for me set up for oversteer and the best mod for me is anti lift kit eliminates understeer and turns in quicker so improves cornering... i used perrin instead of whiteline though

I did think about a fuel pump, which one though??? I don't want to remap now if i am gonna put a few more things on. I would rather do when i have fitted them like 9181 suggests.
But for the record i live in Wrexham. North Wales

Does Demon Tweeks do remaps and are they any good????

I presume the fuel pump upgrade will mean I will use more fuel. Not a major concern, just a question.

yes and no, if mapped properly the map will compensate for the extra fuel being pumped in so overall you probably still ( assuming you take it easy on the loud pedal) will get more miles per tank. ps. you really should get the map done asap in your case as when i said it would save you a fortune i meant in case it goes bang!

I went and had a look last night at the exhaust that was taken off. Its in three pieces. THe back box and pipe. A long kinked link pipe and then a pipe with another box (probably the cat) this means it has only had 1 cat removed yes?

your eng management light should be on if the 2 have been removed, although a few of the new hatchs have apparently let go without any warning. where are you from? someone on here will be able to tell you the best place to go to have it double checked.

I have just been looking at getting a front strut bar fitted. I wanted to get front and rear but the sub i have in the boot wont allow me to fit it.
Will the front strut alone help?
I might take the sub out and fit the back as well, but after sorting out the crap sound i would rather not.

?????

Strut braces are a finishing touch once you have uprated bushes, ARBs, lowered etc. The rear ARB with is the biggest improvement you 'll make for £200 ish fitted... Make sure you have solid droplinks fitted too, unless you have them already..

Definitely needs mapping as it will be overboosting like mad at the moment and feeling very hesitant while accelerating. I would keep it off boost til mapped to be safe.

Your list should include:
Cosworth or Green or K&N Panel filter
Walbro 255 fuel pump
PFR7B Plugs
Remap

Should see you at 330ish bhp - maybe more.
