Thumbs up STi Type UK with FREE 330R Pack!

Dear Mr Lewis,

The legendary STI is already an incredible car. But for a limited time only, you can further enhance your STI with the outstanding 330R pack with our compliments.

The 330R pack includes the mighty Prodrive Performance Pack and 18" Lustric alloy wheels and is available at no cost at participating dealers until 30th June 2010.

Dip Yer Bread!

All I want, Subaru, is a WRX with STi Body at £18k .... and I will put my name down!

Go on Pete, buy it.

You know that secretly you crave the extra performance, firmer suspension (should go a treat with your elderly bones) and the street credibility that you want.

You can then start wearing a baseball cap back to front, driving to and from your crib to see your homies.

Dip Yer Bread (where is that expression from anyway?).

I don't quite understand the 'Baiting' accusation?

And £18,950 is the price of a WRX ... if it had the STi body (which the US is getting this summer) I may well buy one.

An STi isn't for me, too firm and jarring a ride, even with the free 330R Package ..... I will be more than happy with a WRX Standard - thanks

The WRX is also on offer!!

"The WRX is already an outstanding vehicle. But now it comes with a fantastic free upgrade to improve it even further.

We're adding stunning 18" anthracite GT1 alloy wheels and the mighty Prodrive Performance pack on all WRX models bought and registered between 1st April and 30th June 2010 at participating dealers.

18" GT1 alloy wheels improve the grip and handling meaning an even more surefooted drive
Free PPP increases power output from 230PS to 265PS
The torque increases from 320 Nm to a staggering 390 Nm delivered from just 3,000rpm"

With the wide body due in the summer, I'm not too sure this is a good buy?

If the above came with the new body, I'm buying!

I would buy it and drive it at less than 3000 RPM - just to annoy the hell out of you TX ...

Is this what you're looking for?

I think I prefer the hatch but a wide bodied WRX would tempt me too. I'd probably pay £20k but still wince at the move back to two pot brakes - not that I really need them!

I'd definitely go for one of these if the spec/price is right:

It's just a shame that my dealer is shutting down next week.

So what are we getting in the UK:

sti hatch
wide body wrx hatch
sti saloon
wide body wrx saloon

Are saloons staying exclusive to the US or do we get the choice of all 4?

We won't be getting the Saloon.

Will be getting the Wide Bodied WRX and an enhanced STi.

Hence the offers now, to clear the airfields of old Impreza's before the new lot land.

I certainly wouldn't pay List Price at the moment!

Thats good news, I'd hate for the STI Saloon to come out over here and squash the 2nd hand values of the hatch!!!!

On that note does anyone know an approx number of Hatches (UK + Euro) in the UK, I hardly see any so cannot be much more than a few 100, I see Focus RS's all the time!!

No idea Arron

I see RS's all the time - infact I saw 3 this morning on my way to work in Belfast.
I've only seen 2 other hatch STI's on the roads.
I did ask my dealer when I bought the 330S how many of those were left.
He said that as far as he knew there was only dealer stock left and that there were about 6 or 7.
Another ex official dealer I know (family friend and I'd bought previous 4 new cars from him) told me that there were only 3 premium spec euro imports available

So I suspect that stocks are quite low.

I really hope that the saloon stays away.

......and just in case anyone from Subaru UK reads this...... Please, please, please no "privacy glass" on next year's WRX. It is far easier for those who want it to add it later than it is for those who don't to remove.

I could also happily live without keyless entry and the single most pointless feature of any new car.....a push button start!

You're having a laugh - right?

I've a 330S and whats wrong with having a key thing in which kjust stays in your pocket
You go to the door, press the wee button on the handle, open the door, get in and push a button to start.
You arrive at your destination, press the button to stop exist the vehicle and walk away.
It even locks itself FFS

And you don't like this?

I discovered this by mistake.
Went to get in the car one afternoon at home.
Had parked it in the drive earlier and knew I hadn't locked it, but I had to press the button to unlock the door.
