Isn't it annoying when every one tries to race you!
After owning many different Marques of car, especially as my brothers are traders, I am just shocked at how many people are reduced to maniacs when they see a scoob. I get cars in all shapes and sizes trying to race me and at every given opportunity. Honestly, last night some plonker was trying to race me in a Toyota Corolla.
The problem is that they are really pushing their cars to their tolerances and don't realise how they are risking their lives. If you want to make fast road use of a car, then get a car with the capabilities. I always knew I had an addiction to speed since passing my driving test some years ago. But I made sure that all the cars I bought were never the standard variants, but the sport versions. My first example was a Nissan Primera GT. Yes, it wasn't a high performance road car but it had better handling and braking than the standard models. I carried on this trait with the German models until I discovered the Subaru.
In the beginning I used to take the bait and after beating them for a while, found that traffic lights and other such anomalies just brought them up my back side time and time again. I now understand that a proper race is only at the track, where you can really show your skills and feel the competition at its furore.
I now only give it a blast when I want to enjoy the car for myself and ignore all the fiestas, micras, vans etc that want to prove their car has some form of *****.

oh yes, eveyone wants to have a go. I just ignore them. I even get the white van boys pushing me on the motorway. I live in a rural area and there is a twisty wide road on my doorstep so early in the morning going to work i can have a gentle blat and enjoy the smooth twisties. Thats enough to keep the smile on my face and ignore the plebs

Had to laugh this morning, sat at the lights in my 460 bhp+ Hawkeye when a chav pulls up behind me in his Saxo VTR with about 3 girls in with him. Anyway he decided he didn't want to stay behind so he pulled up alongside in the outside lane and sat revving his engine waiting for the lights to change. I had already decided he wasn't worth the V-Power and was going to let him go when the lights changed but much to my amusement and the annoyance of his little chavettes the little muppet stalled the engine !

I'm usually half asleep....
But show me anything over three litres and I'd like to see it go properly...
dunx
P.S. Last time I got beaten in a "race" was by an Audi A5..... not a car I'd rate as even barely interesting, well not enough to try and beat anyway.

Had some idiot in a rover 220 turbo so close to me I couldnt see any of his headlights whilst doing 55ish. I speeded up and over took a car to put abit of room between the two of us but the moron was obviously trying to save fuel by slip streaming me!! Slowed down and let them overtake in the end before they went in to the back of me or killed themselves.

I seem to attract disgruntled older women in their (not so) super minis, and evil looks from women my age or younger. Had 2 women in their crappy civic sitting on my a** on the way back from exmouth earlier. Maybe I should invest in the anti lag too

I thought it was just me! I had a plonker in a white van pushing me around a roundabout today. ***** got out of shape on the exit and nearly took both of us off as he tried for the inside.

I have this trouble all the time. Especialily in morning's going to work. Get alsorts of people in alsorts of cars.
When I first start her up, I tend to drive like miss Daisy till she is warmed up. So a lot of people try it on at this point, as they presume as I have a Scooby I drive it at mach 10 everywhere lol. But I usually let them overtake me and carry on my merry way.

Yep, I find I get this a lot more in my RB5.
I used to drive a bugeye WRX, and actually never really had anybody pay me that much attention. It seemed most people gave me quite a wide birth in that - they never really tried to race me.
But in the RB5 it's every **** and his dog trying to race me, everywhere! As others have said, I'm just bored of it now - I rarely bother to respond and usually just pull over to let them past.
