The thing about that vectra thread (which I started by the way), was that it was dead and buried for weeks until someone by the username of vectra came along and started a flame war about his zooped up vectra which would whoop a subaru.
Then another character called ugly subaru came into the argument and started stirring things up even more.
You see my point?
Anyway, I'm glad it's finally gone.

With regard to your comments John Coffey my car is not Zooped up in anyway it is 100 standard. I did not attempt to start any flame wars at all. I quoted book figures and most of the members commenting did not even know what my car was and LOL quoted figures for a Mondeo or something. I think Subarus are great cars but there are also some real performance bargains to be had. You will note even the VECTRA GSI beats all other opposition in its class in virtually every head to head test done even beating BMW's. Maybe you should read the Autocar article that was written about my very own car. My particular car as stated is virtually identical mechanically to the V6 challenge track car the only difference being mine has 32mm thick discs not 28mm as the track car does. And yes konis do improve the handling no end. I will post a copy of my rolling road printout and you will see that my car makes hust as much power at the wheels as even some of your modded subarus.

What John is saying is that your Vectra is not a standard edition model - it is limited edition and has had many enhancements put on it for the enthusiast driver. Against a stock WRX ur Vectra may pull away at higher speeds but against an STi, P1 etc you would not even come close whether you have more power at the wheels or not. You must compare like for like - a scooby would own a BMW 318 - that doesnt make it a car that beats all BMW's (read M3 etc).

my last car was a vectra and i an'nt ashamed to say it! i had it for 3 years and it never let me down.

However, (and i dont want to get into some sort of 'mines better than yours' argument) the vectra is NO match for the scoob (SORRY)

Obviously you are a little peeved john because you talk nonsense maybe you are jealous (you are a closet vectra fanatic I could send you a pic of my car so you could w**k yourself to a standstill over it)and you are obviously a person of very limited mental ability hence your ridiculous link do you have a job and is your scooby really only a picture in your latest copy of MAX POWER or perhaps you have gone the whole hog and bought a model one with your dole money. I read your thread and made two whole posts in total. I compared my vehicles performance to that of a new WRX that is all. I did not make any claims about it being faster than every other car on the planet as your car obviously holds that honour John.
