hiya lads some **** has jst smashed my mirror of on the drivers side. its booked for a mot in the mornin it may sound silly but will this be a failure??? cheers wayne

Remove the whole mirror and it should pass, IIRC you only need two mirrors to pass!!

 

yeah you only need 2 mirrors to pass an mot.

altho youll need to remove the damaged unit completley

also iirc one side is mandatory - but i cant remeber what one (may be wrong on that)

 

As i understand it, you need the drivers side to pass.

 

My old mini only had a single mirror as that was the way it was designed. Passed like that. Is it that if the car was designed to have two then they shall both be present, but if it was only designed to have one, then that single one must be present.

Much like the Mini didn't have reverse light either as it was designed like that it couldn't fail on it.
