After having a chat with guys at Japspeed I`m after info on which FMIC I`ll be needing.

I`m assuming the intake will be exactly the same as the Prefacelift, as my car is a 1995 WRX import. So am just checking to be absolutely sure.

This is the engine thats going to be fitted.
Preface WRX engine and TD05 Turbo.

what power you going for, i would stay away from the cheap ebay ones although they do get mixed reviews (not slating anyone who has one) harvey does a good value one in the hybrid gt2 spec i have one of these sitting ready to get fitted.

 

I would be interested to see what responses you get, I have a 96 WRX which basically has the same engine as your "new" one. Mine has a full decat and K&N induction kit and has a RR print out showing 287bhp. I am possibly taking the scooby to Spain and I asked Harvey about the GT2 FMIC and he basically said don't bother with such a small output!!

I was worried about heat and the TMIC getting too hot but now I don't know what to do!!!!

 

Well the engine I have was mapped to 376 but with a better turbo, so hoping for around 350ish. I`m not after one from Ebay, but one from Japspeed, but I don`t know which one I need being new to Scoobies.

 

Cant see how you will get 350 from a WRX engine with a TD05 16g turbo?? Thats what my WRX has!!

What else will you be doing to the engine to get that power??

 

Well she`s all fully forged internally, and was running 376bhp in the last car. Will be replacing injectors with 550cc ones, and will be looking at a new turbo. But first things first remapping it once the injectors and FMIC is fitted.

 

am sure some one will correct me as fairly new to subaru's myself however i have a td05 turbo on mine and when planning my mods I was told that the turbo would be on its max and i would be lucky to get 350bhp out of it

 

Yeah thats part of what I mean, the engine will be capable of a lot more, so the only thing maxxed would be the Turbo till it goes pop, then new turbo and remap and see what I can get.
