Default Does "was it you ?" sum up the state of the site ?

When I first lurked a few years ago I couldn't believe how many people were spotted.....

Now most posts go un-answered.

Sad ?

That's how Cumbrian scoobs started over nine years ago with 2/3 of us posting on the section and then forming our club
I would imagine most clubs formed that way

Could it be that we are all expecting a thread waiting for someone to say they saw us. However they are probably doing the exact same thing?
I never see any scoobs in London, are they a reserve for those who just live north of watford, or outside the m25 now??!

Yes, Duncan, the site gets worse as the months roll by.

There are problems in quite a few areas now, reported regularly, but the IB team are over in the USA, and apparently, they can't replicate it, so, rather than coming over HERE where 99% of the traffic is, they hide their heads in the sand. People get fed up and go elsewhere.

This is the ONLY BBS site I use that gets regular spam/advertsing: there seems to be one or more to report EVERY morning. I have asked for something to be done, but nothing is

When I joined, if you posted a query, you got help from knowledgeable people, but you might have to wait a day or so.
Now you get almost instant replies from Kev the Chav based on what he did to his RST

It's going downhill, fast, just as we said it would

And there is ONE of the problems "they" can't replicate. I used to delete every one that doubled: I no longer bother.

I'm in London!

I've seen 2 more in the last 2 months since I bought my 'proper' scoob (upgraded from a 2.0GX wagon to a hawkeye STI ) and have posted here, but neither replied.

I still enjoy the site and look at it daily, and am becoming more of a contributer than a lurker as I was. Hopefully the site will pick up again as I feel this forum is best laid out and easiest to view and use.

Come on guy's it's no that bad, I've only had my car for 12mnths and through this site i have gained some sound knowledge and have had the pleasure of meeting people like Dunx who are willing to take you for passenger rides so you can experience what they have achieved with their cars.

I see lots of people about but don't always bother to post in the "Was it you" section, maybe i will start now

The trouble is most people have their (if at all) SN stickers on the rear of their cars, so you don't know if they're on here or not... I wave at a few, posted on WIY also...usually with no reply

Let's face it this site and the whole Subaru scene was better in the early 2000's. The car then was a true icon whereas it is now just another car to most people and buyers (all 3 of them this year ).

Times change and people find something else to get interested in. Hey ho.

In the 90's, Scoobs were so rare that if you were out in yours and saw another, you both waved/flashed the lights.

Doesn't happen any more.

I get waves from every single new age Impreza that I drive past but not from the older "Barry'd" classics which I suppose are now being driven more and more often by Sir Chavalot (although not all are). I don't get waves from wagons though, it seems to be restricted to the saloons?
