£2K is the ball park I've seen for a decent respray, but that's not a colour change so that may increase the cost

Could you not flock the whole outside red???

Its a massive job to do the whole car a different colour. You would need the whole car stripped surely? Could you not just buy a red one?

i did think of that but it would look crap, i have however flocked my new inlet manifold that will be going on shortly and i'm considering the intercooler pipes at the moment. i want to test how durable it is.

stripping the car does not really bother me although, i am also debating getting a 2 door shell and having it sprayed then swapping my car into it.

If you want to change the colour and you are worried about door shuts then also think about the engine bay as well, that takes a lot of work and to do it properly will require the engine and all sorts of ancillaries out. suggest you add 500-700 for the engine bay if you want it done right, anything between 2000-2500 should see a decent respray at a decent bodyshop, assuming the car is in good-ish nick and not covered in dents and dings and has lots of hours worth of work to hide them.

Changing the clour is fine although you will always be able to tell unless you strip it to bare metal and that will cost £££££££'s

Is it really worth it?

Mine would've been £1500 if I'd have paid the full price

As it was black before I wasn't bothered about the engine bay

And now

I've included the HT Autos widearched bug kit in my future plans

Leaving it DBM, but add some more metal flake to make the paint react more to the sunlight

Mervil your car look stunning

like you I'm not so bothered about the engine bay, just have it in my head I want a White one.

Did think of getting a 2 door shell and transfering everything across although mine has an electric roof as well as aircon so will probably end up keeping that.

if it was me i would strip all the interior out fit a roll cage, perspex windows, leaving your buddy club spoiler on with a carbon vinyl wrap on the roof bonnet and tailgate, and satin black everywhere else. maybe with a time attack kit and rear diffuser and front numper canards etc. my flocking is good cheers pal

Cheers buddy I wanted a White one originally but couldn't find one! If you do go for white then Frozen White, same as the Focus RS is the one to go for

A 2 door project would look very cool

car looks ace think you got away with that one very well as the black engine bay does not stand out like it a blue or a silver one would.

You'd be anything from £3-7k up here for a full colour change through the books.

I just got a full respray including sorting my wheels for £1250 and it's a good finish. Not through the books tho.

I've been quoted £800 (maybes less, depending on paint) to have my 230 white Classic resprayed a better white colour, not including shuts etc.

Which white is the whitest white, you reckon?... and yes, my mummy does use NEW bold 2-in-1
