Default insurance shock for adding a backbox!!

well i had a ninja for a while and decided too fit.did the honest thing and rang the insurance (barclays) and asked for quote on what it be with the back box added.too my surpise it was an extra 26 pound a year.nice lady told me when it was fitted too ring and they amend the details.rang yesterday and spoke too a guy who did the qoutes etc again and said"gone up slighty from before"....well i almost fell off the bed
im paying 560 now fully comp and he said"you looking at 1060 now per year"!!!!! wtf the lol
explained the first quote i had and he said the girl must got wrong.i said i was going take off and i want him look into the recordings of the previous convo.
well i rang back ten mins later and spoke too a lovely girl(jamie le) i think her name was.told her the prob.she was so helpful and looked into it and said i would be paying an extra 1 pound and month.....yes folks 1 pound for adding a stainless steel back box and being legit...she said he put summit in wrong..she double checked and yer..an extra pound a month...
moral of the story....never listen too a bloke on insurance line and thank you jamie le......your a top chick !!!

Yeah when i renewed my policy and said it was completely standard i don't think the guy on the other end of the phone believed me.

It won't be for much longer though, the modding fetish has finally got the better of me

They are so hit and miss these companies. I remember when I did mine, I had 2 differing quotes from the same company. How many people just accept it and pay up? Should add that A Plan have been spot on with amendments.

Your joking right?
Moley-WRX is none other than the insurance legend Gary Molsen of Keith Michaels.

Make sure you ask to speak to Gary, don't let anyone else quote you there.

Honesty is the best policy with insurance- and Keith Michaels is the way to go!
Got an impreza with the Prodrive kit, it was only £20 extra over a standard car with those guys.... some of the other companies were asking silly money!

Yep another for Keith Michaels!!

My renewal came through at nearly £300 more than the quotes i'd had online!!!

KM still beat my lowest quote by £50 aswell.

I'll be sure to ask for Gary when i add my mods
