Current Impreza free PPP offer
Does anyone know, are the modifications done by Subaru UK before delivery to the dealer or are the items changed by the dealer? ECU, Exhaust & wheels.

Thanks for that Midlife, I ask because I would like to buy the original wheels back of the dealer if possible.
I do believe the car will be classed as modded, by insurance companies.

I've not bought the car yet, was just curious if the dealer receives the car on 17" rim I would like to buy them off the dealer to put a set of winter tyres on.

Are you buying new? If you are you`ll be paying for the wheels anyway as far as i know as they are not part of the standard PPP upgrade, These are optional extra`s and if you are buying new i`d expect them for nowt, Tell them they can have the tyres but you want the rims thrown in

Interestingly I've now spoken to two different Subaru dealers and neither have mentioned the free PPP upgrades, thought they would be pushing the offer to get sales.

Look on the offers section of the web site
The WRX Now Comes With a Free Performance Upgrade.
The STI with Free 330R pack - Thrills Upgrade as Standard.
The legendary STI is already an incredible car. But for a limited time only, you can further enhance your STI with the outstanding 330R pack.
The 330R pack includes the mighty Prodrive Performance Pack and 18" Lustric alloy wheels (standard on the STI 330S) and is available at no cost at participating dealers until 30th June 2010. This incredible pack includes:
* Stunning 18" 5 spoke Lusteric wheels which not only improve the ride and handling but transform the look of the already stunning STI
* A power increase from 300PS to 330PS at only 5,400rpm
* An increase in torque from 407 Nm to a staggering 470 Nm, at a much lower 3,400rpm
With a top speed of 155mph and a 0-62mph time of just 4.8 seconds, you are guaranteed adrenalin pumping performance.
330r pack is 18" wheels, STI wheel centre caps and 330bhp conversion, which if I recall correctly is PPP backbox, new ecu and uprated fuel pump. Regarding insurance I imagine you would have to declare it as an option bought with the car as power is increased. 330s was higher insurance group than STI, also higher emissions, (worse fuel consumption!) dealer fit option gets round this! I would ask for the 17" inch wheels and tyres personally as it should be delivered to the dealer with them on the car

Gave Ian Armstrong a call at conders at Peterborough
He was doing brand new wrx for 15k
Got to be a bargain of the year
When I got my wrxd
I got the 17 silver wheels and tyres for nothing and are in my garage gathering dust but I will get them sprayed black and out on for the winter months

PPP has to be dealer fitted as an "aftermarket" modification even if the car is new as it will not pass the very tight "new" car regulations re emissions. Emission rules for cars actually on the roads are less stringent (to allow for wear and tear etc) and the PPP will be fully compliant with these.
