Question Classic Stainless Steel Backboxes

Do these still have buyers looking for them?

The single modification I allowed myself was a BackBox ... I have now put the original box on to sell (god it's quiet!!!)

Anyway, I was sold to me as a Ninja Backbox ... it has no markings on it. The bloke who I bought it off let me try it for a month to see if I could live with it, and to see if it droned on the motorway ..... that was about 5 years ago I guess? It's been the perfect blend of loudness.

Where is the best place to sell? (I have never used E-Bay!) Price?

Cheers

Take it this "modification" was declared to your insurance company sir! Wise to wait 5 years as well so it didn't invalidate your warranty. By my calculations if you had kept your Subaru for another 250 years, you would be up there with the "Gobstopper".

Can't you modify the backbox to fit on your new diesel.

The exhaust was declared, all above board.

Won't fit the Civic as it hasn't got a triangular end!

best to use a courier, do it online, put in the details, length, weight etc, they pick it up from your house, circa £12 for a backbox, sent a few in my time. wrap it in bubble wrap.

Pete, I'd assist you with delivery, FOC of course. However, you hate the company I work for, so I won't.

I am not sure, I believe its a H&S back-box or something similar, It's for classic fitment and has 2.5 inch pipe to center section. It sounds very good as its loud (but not too loud) when you floor it and average (quiet-ish) when your driving normally so best of both worlds.

Let me know if your interested.

Just told my Insurance Company that I have changed numberplate back to the original - and they want £17:50 to change ...... had a brainwave, told them that my Mod. was now removed and I got some money off (but they don't like returning money, do they?!)

Anyway, what do Ninja BackBoxes sell for these days?

Are you sure it is an original ninja backbox,as the tailpipe got smaller as it entered into the backbox,on the ninja 2's its 4.5 inch straight into the backbox, also should have ninja emblazed on the left hand side of the tailpipe as you look at it from the rear.

That's the one I have!!

But no engraving ... sounds exactly the same too ... what a great sound

Mine get's smaller as it enters the backbox.
