I believe a term of your insurance will be that the car is MOT'd. If this is the case then by having not MOT you will have defaulted your insurance.
If you have defaulted your insurance you can have your car seized if its on a public road.

The only time you could drive it would be to a pre booked MOT center, or I believe pre booked garages to get worked completed to pass an MOT.

No MOT = invalid insurance

When you drive it and you run over a child and kill them And you're not insured then explain that to the family.

You may think that the police or the poie as you call them have nothing better to do but I would disagree personally.......

Problem is this (scenario time) If a car hit your car, then you car rolled or bounced into another car or a bike or person then you are liable for whatever your car hit, No MOT then your not insured and you could be taken to a civil court for the costs, plus the obvious no insurance criminal charges.
I understand it annoys you but in a round about kind of way its with your best interests in mind.
Anyways, hope you get your MOT ok, my classic cruised through yet another year..... I love Imprezas.

Yeah you're liable, but you'd just sue the person who hit your car for all the damages. That's what the insurance company would normally do for you as part of the claim, same as in consortina pileups.

That's what I was saying, he can do it himself instead of forking out for an accident he didn't cause.
