Defis - Recommeded Alternatives?
Hi,
Planning to have some Defi's CRs (Boost, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp) plus control unit and a centre pod fitted to my Hawkeye STI but price is significant so I want to shop around and see if there are any other options.
Can anyone recommend any alternatives?
Thanks,
Steve

I have some auto gauge steppers on my car, they are considerably cheaper than defis and you dont need a control unit either. there are also prosport gauges as well both look similar to defis. look on xyber autos website

If you want something that looks good, Defi are the way to go. But if you want accuracy, they are not.
E.g. I had Defi link on my type R, Defi read peak boost at 1.7 bar, I was actually at 1.52-1.55 measured on Surrey Rolling Road.
For accuracy I suggest SPA Design. You can also have dual gauges so you can measure the same amount of variables with half the gauges littering your dash. They do not look as cool, but are accurate and a lot clearer.
Depends if you want style over function...
